discount Ford Explorer
Anyone out there work for a Ford Dealership or know someone that works at a Dealership and can offer me their discount?
Or perhaps personally know of a junk yard that would have a freshly recked exploder from 2002-2005.
I am in the Washington DC metro/NOVA area.
I have the installation covered. I just need the part.
Thanks
I have looked for aftermarket parts and no one makes it. Not Walker Mufflers or any other legitimate exhaust company.
A: you CANNOT buy a used one from a salvage yard,it’s against federal law. However, you can buy a “re-certified” one at brownrecycling.com for much less than a new one
Q: How much do you think my car insurance would be(details inside)?
I am 15, I have taken drivers ed and I have my restricted liscense. I have a 3.8 gpa(I heard you get a discount for that) and I live in Kansas. I am looking at a 1995 Ford Explorer with 168,000 miles. I know you couldn’t tell me exactly, but about what do you think my monthly payment would be? Thanks
I am a female and I live in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City.
A: Its hard to tell you because it depends on a lot of factors, try this site where you can get quotes from different companies

Q: Is it usually the lawyers who are the only ones to get money in class action suits?
The Ford Explorer lawsuit has been settled and only the lawyers got money. The Ford Explorer owners only got $500 discount coupons toward buying a new one.

A: That happens all to often, they endlessly drag these cases out to such an extent that they wind up with the lions share of the money and the people who were injured, end up with not that much. I in part blame the judges for this, they allow the lawyers to drag cases out for years and years and give little thought to the actual injured party, this isn’t just for class action suits either that goes for personal injury and others as well
Q: are firestone tires ok?
i’ve some good discount for firestone tires for my corolla, but a friend said that Firestone tires are not that safe, so i Googled and found this bad publicity back in 2001 where ford explorer SUVs had so many accidents due to the tires peeling off. What do you think? are these tires now safe? thanks.
A: Since then, Firestone has recalled that line of tires. They have also since fixed any major defects in their design. The imperfections in the tires were not in the design, but in the manufacturing process. Besides, even if the tires still weren’t fixed, it wouldn’t matter to you because all the problems were with truck tires, specifically those sold to Ford in 2001 for the Explorers.
Q: Could a bad transmission ruin a flywheel? HELP!!!?
I have a 96 Ford Explorer with a V6. At 109000 miles I needed to replace the flywheel, spacer, etc. The place that I took it to told me that since the Transmission was already out you mine as well put in a new rebuilt transmission. So I did I had problems with the transmission from the get go. It would take for ever to go from P to Drive and even when stepping on the gas there was a bit of a lag. I took it back and they said there was nothing wrong. At 123,000 miles the transmission completely fails. The mechanic replaces it under warranty. Now I’m at 134,000 and the spacer on my flywheel completely cracks. So they want to put in another flywheel and spacer (I think they called the spacer a “puck”). Could the bad transmission that I ran for 24,000 have severely damaged my flywheel spacer? They want to charge me a reduced price of $650 for the labor and the new flywheel. Should I ask for a bigger discount?
THANKS!!!
A: A cracked flywheel is not a common repair with these vehicles. Misalignment or improper torque sequence or some other concern is causing this.
Consider, the first flywheel lasted 14 years and over a 100,000 miles – the new replacement certainly should have lasted longer than 25,000 miles.
What kind of warranty or guaranty does the shop offer with their repairs? If it’s out of the time or mileage, I guess you’ll just have to bite the bullet and pay the “reduced” cost of removing the transmission yet once again to replace the flywheel.
