Q: i want to convert my 1994 ford explorer sport, 5 speed manual, v6 to natural gas or propane. which is cheaper.?
which is cheaper/easier and more cost effective to install and maintain.

A: by the time you you spent the money on a conversion it would be cheaper just to use gas. you would never recover any monies by doing a conversion.

Q: Would a Ford Explorer Grill/brush guard fit a Ford Ranger?
Its hard for me to find a grill/brush guard for My 1994 Ford Ranger under $400 but I have found some for a 1994 Ford Explorer that was much cheaper. And i noticed that the front of them both looked almost identical. so would the Grill/Brush Guard for an Explorer fit my Ranger??? Good sources plz

A: you have gotten years mixed up. 89-92 rangers are the same body style as up to a 94 explorer. ranger changed body styles in 93 to the round look. explorer changed to the round look in 95. if your ranger has the identical front end as the explorer yes the bumper/guard will fit. If one had the square look and other round look, no the won’t interchange. good luck

Q: 1994 Explorer trade in?
The night before I am to bring my 1994 Ford Explorer XLT to the dealer to use as a trade in it won’t start. Will they still take it as a trade in or should I see how much it;s going to cost to fix first? I don’t Reilly want to put anymore money into it, but I think is just the starter solenoid and that’s relatively cheap to fix.

A: See what it is and if it is that then fix it and trade it in quick before something else happens! If it doesnt come out cheap then there should be other places where they will take the car even if its not starting like a junk yard.. Atleast you will something out of if even if its not much..

Q: things to do to my new ride?
k i’m almost 16, i have a 1994 red ford explorer.
what are some CHEAP things that i can do to my car to make it unique.
i was thinking car stickers and a seat cover(cuz there’s a whole in the drivers seat on the side)

i like under water stuff and fantasy like mermaids and fairies, stuff ike that btw

you can customize a lot of things on the car with simple accessories
it can be simple or creative.

Im not much for accessories But I did look nicer to me when I got a different steering wheel and pedal covers for my gas and break pedal.

the skys the limit really. I dont know if there are autozones or advanced auto parts where you live. ( I havent had the chance to really leave my state too often) But even if there are or arent. There are tons of websites you could look into just through google.

Ide also recommend just looking into custom show cars online and using some of their ideas to help make your own.

(just please dont get one of those exhaust tips that makes the car sound like a bees nest went zooming by)… but I wont stop ya from that either…

Q: Not reading enough octane?
I have a 1994 Ford Explorer.

ran well until it got a spark knock from turns out a vac leak. being like that for about a year or so it messed up something so my car had no power and horrible gas mileage. the garage did a dio test and it said that it’s not getting enough octane or something like that. he said it was a really rear code and that it’s about $200-ish parts and labor to fix b/c it needs a new computer. being cheap i used premium and octane booster in it for a while and it didn’t do anything.

so what do i need a new one of? i see on websites they have engine control computers and fuel pressure regulators in that price range, but i have no idea what effects octane reading.

what do i need and how would i go about fixing it myself? don’t worry i have friends that can do it if they know how, plus i’m a mechanical engineer and can half-ass figure things out on the car. thanks!
it’s not knocking anymore. i gave it a tune up which didn’t help then took it to the garage were they found out it was a vacuum leak and fixed it. it doesn’t knock anymore, just has no power and horrible gas mileage. i was told it’s not getting enough octane and just wondered what’s the computer in the car that i need to replace.
