A: It's really easy to replace the radio. I used crutchfield.com to change the one in mine. I have a 96 explorer and used them. They have a guide that will tell you what will fit or not. The radio is huge and the new one will be half that size. They will include a little thing that will turn that free space into a pocket for storage. On the back of the radio, you have the antenna plugin, which is standard on any radio. You also have the wiring harness for the speakers. Crutchfield will include an adapter that will transform your current harness into one that will fit into your new radio. Removing the radio you will need a radio removal tool. On the left and right side of the radio, you will see two holes. You can get them for about 5 bucks at the auto parts store. What you do is you stick them in to those holes, squeeze and push them I believe away from each other and the radio will start to come out. I would disconnect the battery though because you have some airbag sensors kicking around in there. Hope this helps :)

Looking for a guide on how to do maintenance on a 2003 Ford Explorer V6. I searched for it online and couldn't find one. My vehicle needs a tune up and want to do it myself.

A: its very simple but if you want to know how to do maintenance on it, then you should get the book at autozone for $20 it will show you step by step how to do everything, change heads, oil, pumps, take the radiator out. breaks everything down for you so its simple.

to change oil get an oil pan jack some oil flush, oil, oil filter, then drive home put the motor flush in your oil, run it for five minutes, it will remove all the gunk and build of in the oil (dont drive around with motor flush in your oil!) jack it up, let it cool down for a little bit or the oil will burn you, take the plug out of the oil pan, drain it, take off the oil filter, then replace, put the plug back in fill the oil back up and your done.

for other maintenance just buy the book its easier to understand then on here, and there are detailed pictures on whats what.

A: you can get any stereo. Custom stereos all are smaller, so they fit. With all of them, you have to get an installation mounting kit thing and wireing harness also. It's not as complicated as it sounds. You can get these things at Walmart and many other places.
